‘Hidden Dalmatia’ is a multimedia and educational center that interprets in a modern way the natural heritage of Split-Dalmatia County with an emphasis on the mountain Mosor. This space offers its visitors a multimedia and sensory experience through VR (virtual reality) animated interpretation and expert guidance of educators.
Just 15 minutes from the center, there is Vranjača cave – one of the most beautiful gems of the karst landscape. The cave channels are about 365 m long in total, and it takes about an hour to tour them. There is a pathway inside the cave, steps with handrails made of rope, artificial lighting, and doors. The richness of its formations makes it the most beautiful cave open to the public in Dalmatia.
The tour is primarily for children but can be interesting for adults too.
The guide will present you with details about nature, animals, and customs from Dalmatia; especially from the mountainous part of the coast.
The cave is made of large chambers. The source of light is everywhere. It is slightly colder than on the surface (about 10 degrees), so long sleeves are recommended.
The departure is at 8 AM, and we drive for 30 minutes towards the inland of Dalmatia, surrounded by beautiful mountainous landscapes. There is an allocated time of one hour for the stay at the educational center and an hour and a half for the cave visit. The total duration of the excursion is 4-5 hours.
