For all fans of the HBO show ‘Game of Thrones’, like ourselves, we are offering a guided walking tour behind the scenes. A local guide will walk you through and drive between locations in the comfortable van; entry fees are included.
You can learn here about the spots in the fictional city of Meereen which took place in Split and Klis fortress. These ancient Roman and medieval sites are rich in stories, with the show being just one of them.
The show was filmed in, at least, fifteen locations, from Dubrovnik od the south to Šibenik in the north. We will see the two most frequent locations in the show from this area – cellars and fortresses. There are two more locations near Split, but that is optional.

The duration of the tour is 5 hours, including transportation from Split to Klis Fortress. The departure is at 9 AM. An additional option is a lunch near Klis Fortress, featuring grilled lamb as a local specialty. Another option is Stella Croatica, a complex housing a restaurant, an educational center, an olive oil museum, a souvenir shop with local products, and a Mediterranean garden. It is necessary to announce and book a slot in advance. There you can eat, learn about Mediterranean culture, and do small shopping at the same spot.
